 Do you ever feel too depressed to cry?  I just dropped my daughter off at the airport for her trip to London; I should be happy for her, but right now, I just feel numb inside.  I know I won't be able to sleep a wink tonight . . . not until I've heard she's arrived safely.  God, I just feel sick!

To my friends that know the London area:

My daughter is going to be leaving on Wednesday (yikes, too soon!) to take a semester at one of the business colleges in the Kensington area.  Can anyone recommend places for shopping, eating, laundry, entertainment, and seeing the sights on a shoestring budget?  I'm nervous enough with her being so far away, without worrying about her living on depression era tomato soup (ketchup and a cup of hot water) with crackers while staring at a brick wall, and having to wash her colthes in the sink.  I meant to ask earlier, but the time kinda crept up on me.  If any of you can help, I'd sure appreciate it!

Sorry, I've been in a dead zone since Monday.  My city decided to put new water pipes down my street, and the brilliant people that they hired couldn't tell the difference between the pipes and a cable conduit; they drilled a hole right through it, damaging the fiber optic line.  It took the cable company a while to figure out that the damage was under the street (where all of the holes had been dug), and not at my house.  Then the pipe guys and the cable guys had to get together and decide who had to do what to fix it.  Finally, through all of the pointing fingers, and dancing around, I'm connected again - YEA!!!  I've got a lot of stuff back logged, so to all of you that usually get feedback, please bear with me . . . I'll get caught up just as soon as I can.

 Just mixing up a little birthday fun for jans_intentions, hope you have a wonderful day!

I just went to my first Zydeco concert, and I had a blast.  The music is so energetic and fun, you can't help but have a good time.  It is 'the music of Louisianna' and the combination of accordion, fiddle, washboard, guitar, and double-beat bass drum gives it a unique sound that makes you want to throw yourself out on the dance floor and kick up your heels.  Several movies that have examples of Zydeco music are The Big Easy, and Steel Magnolias.

I swear, this has been the week from hell.  It was like all of our patients met at MickeyD's for breakfast, just to call in, en mass to cancel their appointments.  I had to stay late three nights this week to try and fill the holes in my schedule.  At least Dr. 1, the anal retentive micro manager was out of town, leaving Dr. 2, the stern waffling to understanding, in charge.  All I can say is, thank god it's Friday!!!

4). My husband hums on the back of my neck and it drives me absolutely crazy.
